Lose weight? I know.. I know. You’ve heard it many times before but probably some of the tips given below differs from what you’ve heard or read. Losing weight is hard work but some of the tips given below did work for me so I am sharing them with you. As time progresses, I will add more tips in this post so expect for it to be updated as soon I have new tips.

1. If you are in a bakery shop – take only one piece of whatever kind of cake or bread you wanted to eat for that day and make sure you eat after 4 hrs for your next meal and do the whole process again – 1 piece or 1 cup of food every time you eat.

2. Drink water in between meals, this will help with you to feel full. Remember, eat often and eat in small portion.

3. Use a smaller plate, sometimes your eyes do trick with the way you eat. Using a smaller plate makes you think that you have a lot of food on your plate.

4. Chew your food slowly, eating slowly will prevent you from taking a second helping. Enjoy your food!

5. Exercise as early as you can, the best time is in the morning or before afternoon. The reason behind this is to avoid having other last minute engagements that you may have later in the day thus will stop you from doing an exercise for that day. 30 minutes is good enough, remember, lose weight is what you are aiming for!

6. Snack by all means but grab nutritious snack! An apple or a cup of grapes is good.

7. Use olive oil instead of other cooking oil.

8. Forget the remote control, think way back in the 70′s. If you need to switch channel, stand up and walk to the TV and change the channel. I know this might sound stupid but a bit of movements is better than no movement at all.

9. House chores – make it a fun chore. Switch on the radio and move with the tune. Great body workout!

10. Throw your rubbish daily even if it’s half full.

11. Try to stretch your body whenever you remember. This is good for toning the muscles.

Remember, we shouldn’t treat trying to lose weight as a drag but try to enjoy doing it too!
